My Little Shed, Naked

Stripped bare of its roof, the poor thing. This cockeyed roofline was one of many problems needing correction:

I must admit a certain fascination with the interior during all of this -- one of those beautiful moments never to be seen again:

like the light through wood slat mini-blinds which I'll always love even though I know a lot of people despise them.

My gosh! How are you affording this?

AD -- Blinds are a tough one -- it all depends on how they are employed. What I do love is a good tromp l'oeil venetian blind print. I'm really torn on blinds.

Anon -- In terms of the expense, it's true, the outbuilding roof is the most costly project we've undertaken so far, the majority of the other fixes in the house being relatively inexpensive, sweat equity jobs. The roof wasn't an option, either, given the degree to which it had degraded and our desire to NOT watch the whole building rot into the ground. And we've been living pretty frugally. Everything paid in cash, no ill-advised loans.

Thanks for commenting on Nick Haus! I look forward to seeing what you have to say. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking Anonymous comments -- too much spam, too much vituperative. Come out from behind the curtain, ye nasty Anonymous! Everyone else, please, I love to hear from you.
